Nominate Us For The Podcast Awards (huh?)

Sonovista, my friends...  shy and retiring as we are, we were unaware of the Podcast Awards until our own Ken Turetzky clued us in...  we weren't chosen as John  McCain's vice presidential running mate, but a podcast award could be cool...

So please head over to www.podcastawards.com and give us a nomination, ya?  You can only choose ONE catagory PLUS Best Produced or People's Choice, so i'm suggesting Entertainment and Best Produced (because, as ken noted, there is no jewish/sinus catagory, and in truth, i have absolutely no idea where we really belong.  The nomination process closes on SEPTEMBER 30th, so time is running out!  (the wall street-bail out-thing... that, we got time)

Thanks!

I've nominated SL for the past two years, and did so again!

I voted for SL for the two categories you recommended. It's so great to hear from you again. I'm glad you are feeling a little better!

Despite our best efforts, SL is not a finalist in the 2008 Podcast Awards Post-Nasal category.

Better luck next year!

I'm bored. Listless.

The image of Parviz the Plumbin' Guy shin-deep in fetid water, a wrench in his hand and a blank expression on his face, floats in and out of my mind.

I keep calling and calling, but Schnauzer Logic doesn't pick up anymore. Since the election, there's no conflict left in my world.

Do they hold elections in other countries, too? Maybe I'll go to one of those and find one side to get really angry about.

All I have left is this question, which I ask myself over and over and over again:

Home Networketing?

we have elections here downunder, you get to choose a person who isn't the guy you've grown to hate over the last 11 years in the hope that a change will mean things might just be different (they won't - and even tho you know this you will still feel let down).
We have no limit on how long the ba$tards can be in office and we have mandatory voting for all adults 18 and over, except if they are incompentent. The mandatoryness is inspiring - you have to pay a fine if you don't vote or don't enrol to vote. How do they know if you don't vote? they check the electoral roll. How to they check if you are not on the electoral roll? well they can't as the electoral roll is their frame of reference and data matching restrictions don't yet allow them any other means of tracking. Am I the only one who sees a loophole?
Its another two years till our next federal election but in the mean time we have beer, barbeques, babes and beaches. (and uninspiring alliteration).
It's enough to make me listen to Billy Joel.

Enough nonsalent blabber
